## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING LANDING AT KSUS, RUNWAY 26R, A STUDENT PILOT WAS LANDING THE AIRCRAFT AND HAD POINTED THE NOSE SLIGHTLY TO THE RIGHT OF CENTERLINE. AS SOON ON THE NOSE WHEEL TOUCHED THE RUNWAY, IT COLLAPSED, PULLING THE LEFT RUDDER FULL DOWN. THE AIRCRAFT TIPPED AND MADE CONTACT WITH THE RUNWAY ON THE WINGTIP. THE STUDENT TRIED TO CORRECT, BUT THE AIRCRAFT SLIDE OFF THE RUNWAY TO A FULL STOP. MECHANIC STATEMENT "THE TORQUE LINKS APPEARED TO BE CRACKED PREVIOUS TO THE ACCIDENT INDICATED BY CORRODED PORTION OF CRACK FOLLOWED BY SHINNY PORTION THAT WAS RECENTLY BROKEN BY THE ACCIDENT."

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
