## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT OF A C-550 REPORTED A MEDIUM TO LARGE GRAY UAS OFF THE LEFT WING AT 1500 FEET, FOUR MILES SOUTH OF THE NEW ORLEANS LAKEFRONT AIRPORT (KNEW). THE PILOT WAS FLYING ON A SOUTHBOUND HEADING IN CONTROLED CLASS D AIRSPACE AND DID NOT HAVE TO TAKE EVASIVE ACTION TO AVOID HITTING THE UAS. THE LOUIS ARMSTRONG NEW ORLEANS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (KMSY) ATC NOTIFIED THE NEW ORLEANS POLICE DEPARTMENT OF THE UAS INCIDENT. THE LOCAL FAA FSDO HAS BEEN UNABLE TO IDENTIFY THE UAS OPERATOR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
