## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

EWR-YYZ CLIMB AT FL160, CREW RECEIVED TRU 2 AND IRS NAV 2 FAIL. BOTH INDICATIONS WENT AWAY A FEW SECONDS LATER. AT APPROXIMATELY FL280, THE CREW NOTICED THE #2 ENGINE WITH ITT IN YELLOW RAGE, AND ENGINE VIBE IN YELLOW RANGE. ENGINE THRUST WAS REDUCED TO ITT IN NORMAL RANGE. PAN PAN WAS DECLARED. AFTER DISCUSSION WITH MAINTENANCE, AND ENGINE PARAMETERS WITHIN ACCEPTABLE LIMITS THE FLIGHT CONTINUED TO YYZ. AN ABNORMAL LANDING WAS COMPLETED AS UNEVENTFUL. EMERGENCY SERVICES MET THE AIRCRAFT.

WITH FDR PARAMETER REVIEW COMPLETED, AN EXTENSIVE MAINTENANCE ACTION PLAN WAS CARRIED OUT, INCLUDING COMPRESSOR CONTROL, FUEL DISTRIBUTION AND BORESCOPE INSPECTIONS. FADEC WAS REPLACED AND POWER ASSURANCE RUNS CARRIED OUT. #2 TRU WAS REPLACED FOR SECONDARY DEFECT. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
