## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JANUARY 25, 2024, AT APPROXIMATELY 1315 LOCAL TIME, AIRCRAFT

^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, A BEECH 400A WAS CLIMBING OUT OF 14,500 FEET TO 24,500 FEET AT 260 KNOTS AIRSPEED WHEN THE RIGHT HAND PILOTS WINDSHIELD SHATTERED. AT THAT TIME THE CREW REQUESTED AN ALTITUDE OF 15,000 FEET WITH AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL AND CONSULTED THE PILOTS CHECKLIST FOR A CRACKED WINDSHIELD. AFTER THE CREW DETERMINED THE DAMAGE TO BE ON THE OUTER PANE OF THE WINDSHIELD ONLY, THE CHECKLIST CALLED FOR CONTINUING PRESSURIZED FLIGHT. THE AIRCRAFT DESCINDED TO 9,000 FEET AND SLOWED DOWN TO APPROXIMATLEY 220 KNOTS AIRSPEED AND CONTINUED TO LEESBURG EXECUTIVE AIRPORT (KJYO) WITHOUT INCIDENT. THE TWO PILOTS AND ONE PASSENGER SUSTAINED NO INJURIES. AT THAT TIME THE FAA WAS NOTIFIED.

AN INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT REVELED THAT THE RIGHT HAND WINDSHIELD OUTER PANE WAS SHATTERED. A REVIEW OF THE AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE LOGBOOKS REVEALED THAT ALL INSPECTIONS WERE CURRENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
