## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING PREFLIGHT AIRCRAFT WAS FOUND AIRWORTHY WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED. THE BRAKES OPERATED NORMALLY DURING THE TAXI. FLIGHT WAS CONDUCTED WITHOUT ISSUE. DURING THE LANDING AT FLAGLER (KFIN) THE INSTRUCTOR TOOK CONTROLS AS THE WEATHER WAS BUMPY AND HE WANTED TO GAUGE THE WINDS SO THE FULL LANDING WAS UNDER IP CONTROLS. THE TOUCH DOWN WAS NORMAL WITH NO HARD LANDING, DURING ROLLOUT HE NOTICED THE LEFT BRAKES WERE MOMENTARILY SOFT WITH NO FEEDBACK, BUT AFTER REMOVING PRESSURE AND PRESSING AGAIN THE BRAKES FELT NORMAL AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS SLOWED. HE DECIDED TO EXIT AT THE END OF RUNWAY 24 TOWARDS THE RIGHT ONTO TAXIWAY E. AS THEY APPROACHED THE TAXIWAY HE APPLIED THE BRAKES TO CONTINUE TO SLOW AIRCRAFT. INITIALLY THE PLANES SLOWED AS NORMAL. BUT WHEN HE INITIATED THE RIGHT TURN THE AIRCRAFT WAS NOT TURNING AT THE RATE IT SHOULD HAVE SO HE APPLIED ADDITIONAL PRESSURE TO THE RIGHT BRAKE, BUT THE PEDAL WENT SOFT WITH NO FEEDBACK. WITH THE PEDAL FLAT TO THE PEDAL STOP THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED TURN AT CURRENT RATE OF SPEED. AS A RESULT THE AIRCRAFT DID NOT MAKE THE TURN AND INADVERTENTLY EXITED THE TARMAC AND ONTO THE GRASS. MANUEVERED AIRCRAFT BACK ON THE TAXIWAY AND TAXIED TO RAMP AREA.

MAINTENANCE DID CHECK THE BREAKS ON THE SCENE AND DID NOT FIND ANY ISSUES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
