## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT DEPARTED KCHD (CHANDLER MUNICIPAL AIRPORT) AT APPROXIMATELY 9:55 AM MST, SUNDAY 2/11/2024 FROM RUNWAY 4L. NORMAL CLIMB OUT, WHEELS UP, AND RIGHT TURN APPROVAL FROM TOWER TO HEAD SOUTH BOUND. CLIMBED UP TO 3500 FEET, CHECKED AWOS AT A39 (AK-CHIN REGINAL AIRPORT) AFTER TOWER CLEARED FREQUENCY CHANGE, HEADING STRAIGHT TO KA39 (AK-CHIN REGINAL AIRPORT). PIC CALLED PATTERN TRAFFIC AND CIRCLED OVER THE NORTH TEST TRACK TO PATTERN ATTITUDE (2307 FT). PATTERN TRAFFIC WAS ALL LANDING ON RUNWAY 22, SO, SHE PROCEEDED TO RUNWAY 22. PUT WHEELS DOWN IN LONG BASE TO FINAL AND CHECKED FLOOR INDICATOR, PUT FLAPS DOWN, AND NORMAL FULL STOP AT ABOUT 1/3 DOWN THE RUNWAY. TAXIED DOWN TO A3 AND CLEAR THE ACTIVE. CALLED CLEAR ACTIVE TO THE TRAFFIC, PUT FLAPS UP AND RESET THE TRIM. TAXED BACK TO RUNWAY 22 FOR ANOTHER FULL-STOP TAXI BACK. PIC PROCEEDED BACK TO THE RUNWAY AND PERFORMED A NORMAL TAKE-OFF JUST BEFORE MID-FIELD. PUT WHEELS UP, TURNED LEFT X-WIND, CLIMBED TO ~2307 FT., AND FIXED TRIM. PIC TURNED DOWNWIND AND HIT THE SWITCH TO PUT WHEELS DOWN WHEN SHE WAS AT MIDFIELD TO THE NUMBERS. PIC FAILED TO LOOK AT THE FLOOR INDICATOR THIS TIME. SHE PUT FLAPS DOWN ON BASE AND ENTERED FINIAL. LANDED ABOUT MIDFIELD, WITH GEAR UP, AND AIRCRAFT SLID TO THE RIGHT, OFF THE RUNWAY. PIC TURNED OFF ALL POWER AND EXITED THE AIRCRAFT. AIRPORT VIDEO SHOWS THE GEAR WAS NEVER DOWN.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR24LA086](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR24LA086), Feb 11, 2024: Beech A35 (N691B), Maricopa, AZ, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to properly configure the landing gear and verify its position before landing, which resulted in a gear-up landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
