## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ CALLED-IN AFTER TAKEOFF TO REPORT THAT THE NOSE GEAR OF THE AIRCRAFT WAS STUCK IN THE DOWN POSITION. THE FLIGHT RETURNED TO EWR.

AFTER THE AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO THE GATE, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE NOSE GEAR PIN WAS STILL IN PLACE. NO EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED AND THERE WAS NO ADVERSE REACTION FROM THE PASSENGERS.

THE INCIDENT WAS ATTRIBUTED TO THE OMITTED ACTION BY RAMP PERSONNEL IN EWR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
