## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT WAS LANDING AT THE DELANO, CA AIRPORT (DLO) AND LANDED WITH THE LANDING GEAR NOT EXTENDED. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE JUST FORGOT TO PUT THE LANDING GEAR DOWN AND COMPLETE A BEFORE LANDING CHECKLIST AFTER BECOMING TASK SATURATED AND DISTRACTED DURING THE VFR APPROACH TO THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT NOTED THAT A LATE DESCENT TO THE AIRPORT MAY HAVE BEEN A FACTOR IN CAUSING HIM TO OPERATE OUTSIDE OF HIS NORMAL ROUTINE. THE PILOT ALSO STATED THAT HE DID NOT RECALL HEARING THE GEAR WARNING HORN. HE HAS ASKED THE MECHANIC REPAIRING THE AIRPLANE TO INVESTIGATE THE FUNCTIONING OF THE GEAR WARNING SYSTEM AND REPAIR AS NECESSARY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
