## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT STATED THAT AFTER A NORMAL TOUCHDOWN, THE AIRPLANE STARTED TO SLOWLY DRIFT TO THE RIGHT.

THE PILOT THEN CORRECTED WITH DIFFERENTIAL BRAKING WHILE ALSO BRAKING TO REDUCE SPEED. THE PLANE THEN STARTED TRACKING SLIGHTLY LEFT. TO KEEP THE PLANE CENTERED THE PILOT APPLIED LEFT AND RIGHT BRAKING. ON REDUCTION OF LEFT BRAKE, THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED. THE LEFT-WING TIP, AILERON, AND FLAP CONTACTED THE RUNWAY WHILE THE AIRCRAFT TRAVELED GRADUALLY TO THE RIGHT AND OFF OF THE RUNWAY. THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR STRIKED A RUNWAY EDGE MARKING LIGHT AND COLLAPSED THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A REST IN A NOSE HIGH ATTITUDE WITH THE ENGINE AT IDLE. IT SETTED IN THE GRASS NEAR THE EDGE OF THE RUNWAY. ACCORDING TO THE PILOT, UPON THE POST INCIDENT EXAMINATION OF THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR, IT INDICATES THAT THE SIDE BRACE STUD ON THE GEAR LEG PARTIALLY SEPARATED FROM THE GEAR LEG AT THE WELD.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
