## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING THE FIRST FLIGHT AFTER AN ANNUAL INSPECTION THE PIC SELECTED GEAR DOWN. AN UNSAFE GEAR LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE LEFT MAIN GREEN DOWN AND LOCKED LIGHT DID NOT COME ON. THE PIC CHOSE TO DEPART THE TRAFFIC PATTERN TO TROUBLESHOOT. GEAR WAS CYCLED AND AN EMERGENCY GEAR EXTENSION WAS PERFORMED WITH THE SAME RESULTS. THE AIRPORT MANAGER WAS CONTACTED BY RADIO. THE AIRPORT MANAGER VIEWED THE GEAR USING BINOCULARS AND REPORTED THAT THE LEFT MAIN GEAR APPEARED TO BE DOWN, BUT THE LANDING GEAR DOOR WAS STUCK MIDWAY BETWEEN OPEN AND CLOSED. THE PIC LEFT THE PATTERN TO PREPARE FOR LANDING. THE AIRPORT MANAGER READIED A FIRE TRUCK ON STANDBY NEAR THE RUNWAY. THE PIC PERFORMED A NORMAL APPROACH BUT FELT THE LEFT MAIN GEAR COLLAPSE. THE AIRCRAFT STOPPED ON THE RUNWAY AND THE PILOT AND PASSENGER EXITED WITHOUT INCIDENT. NO INJURIES AND MINOR DAMAGE. INSPECTION FOUND A BROKEN ROD END ON THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR EXTENSION PUSH PULL TUBE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
