## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 4/4/2024 DURING INSTRUCTIONAL FLIGHT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STUDENT AND INSTRUCTOR WERE DOING FULL STOP TAXI BACKS AT KOMN. STUDENT LANDED, TURNED LEFT ON RUNWAY, TAXIED BACK VIA A. STUDENT NOTED ON LEFT TURN THAT HE NEEDED TO PRESS DOWN ON BRAKES MORE THAN NORMAL. UPON REACHING HOLD SHORT LINE STUDENT HIT BRAKES BUT SINCE THE LEFT ONE WAS WEAK (NON-RESPONSIVE) THE RIGHT BRAKE ACTIVATED CAUSING AIRCRAFT TO QUICKLY VEER INTO THE DRAINAGE DITCH RIGHT OFF TAXI WAY. NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT WAS NOTED. NO INJURIES TO CREW.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
