## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING A MEDICAL TRANSPORT FLIGHT WHILE CRUISING AT 2500 FT MSL AT 120 KNOTS A BIRD STRUCK THE AIRCRAFT PENETRATING THE CANOPY ON THE LEFT SIDE. THE PIC ANNOUNCED BIRD STRIKE AND REDUCED AIRSPEED TO 60 KNOTS. THE PIC DIVERTED TO A KNOWN LANDING AREA 3 TO 4 MILES AWAY AND CHECKED FOR CREW OR PASSENGER INJURIES, NONE REPORTED. AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. NO INJURIES, MINOR DAMAGE. WILDLIFE STRIKE REPORT FILED, NO FURTHER ACTION REQUIRED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
