## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON APRIL 18, 2024 THE RIVERSIDE FSDO RECEIVED A NOTIFICATION OF AN INCIDENT INVOLVING BEECH ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, A A36 AIRCRAFT AT CORONA AIRPORT. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED GEAR UP AT CORONA AIRPORT, CA APRIL 09, 2024, AT 1727 PDT TIME. WINDS WERE 8 KTS OUT OF THE WEST AND THE SKY WAS CLEAR. MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT WAS REPORTED WITH NO INJURIES. CONTACT WAS MADE WITH THE ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^PILOT IN COMMAND BY THIS OFFICE, WHO STATED THAT THEY WERE ON WITH ATC WHEN THE RADIOS FAILED WITHOUT REASON WHILE OVER LAKE MATHEWS PRACTICE AREA. THIS CREATED A DISTRACTION THAT WAS A PARTIAL REASON FOR NOT PUTTING THE GEAR DOWN. THE PILOT ALSO STATED THAT THE CHECKLIST WAS OUT, BUT HE DID NOT FOLLOW THROUGH AS NORMAL AND TAKES FULL RESPONSIBILITY OF THE INCIDENT. THE IMPORTANCE OF ALWAYS USING A CHECK LIST AND VERIFICATION OF CRITICAL ITEMS, WAS DISCUSSED WITH THE PILOT WHO HAD MANY LANDINGS AT CORONA AIRPORT. THE AIRCRAFT IS NOW IN MAINTENANCE AT CHINO AIRPORT, HAVING A PROP STRIKE INSPECTION ALONG WITH SHEET METAL WORK AND A NEW PROPELLER ON ORDER. THIS INVESTIGATION IS CONSIDERED CLOSED WITH NO FURTHER FINDINGS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
