## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE FLYING FROM CHEYENNE REGIONAL AIRPORT, CHEYENNE, WY (KCYS), TO ROCKY MOUNTAIN METRO AIRPORT, BOULDER, CO (KBJC) PILOT EXPERIENCED ENGINE POWER ISSUE AND ELECTED TO LAND ON HIGHWAY 287. PILOT LANDED SAFELY. NO INJURIES WERE ENCOUNTERED. MINOR DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT WING WAS ENCOUNTERED: A SMALL DENT IN THE LEADING EDGE NEAR THE BLADE TIP AND SCRAPE MARKS ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE WING FROM THE LEADING EDGE ONTO THE AILERON.

PIC STATED THAT HE HAD A FRIEND, A CANADIAN MECHANIC (NON FAA CERTIFIED) INSPECT THE AIRCRAFT WHO STATED THAT IT WAS AIRWORTHY. PILOT, WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF THE STATE HIGHWAY PATROL, TOOK OFF FROM THE HIGHWAY AND RETURNED SAFELY TO KBJC.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
