## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING A 14 CFR PART 135 FLIGHT FROM BEND, OREGON (BND) TO GRANGEVILLE, IDAHO (GIC) WITH ABOUT 30 MINUTES LEFT OF THE PLANNED FLIGHT AT AN ALTITUDE OF 11,000 FEET MSL THE PILOT NOTED A SIMULTANEOUS LEFT ENGINE A & B ENGINE CONTROL UNIT (ECU) FAILURE. THE PILOT IN COMMAND (PIC) NOTICED A LARGE AMOUNT OF OIL EXITING THE LEFT ENGINE CRANKCASE BREATHER TUBE AND REQUESTED AN EMERGENCY LANDING AT THE NEAREST AIRPORT. THE PIC DIVERTED TO AND LANDED AT LA GRANDE/UNION COUNTY AIRPORT (LGD) IN LA GRANDE, OREGON. THE ENGINE INDICATED “GREEN” PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE RANGES DURING THE DECENT AND LANDING SO THE ENGINE WAS NOT SHUT DOWN IN FLIGHT. THE DECENT AND LANDING WERE COMPLETED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. NO INJURIES AND NO AIRCRAFT DAMAGE BEYOND THE ENGINE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
