## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MAY 1, 2024 AT 1850Z A CFI AND PRIVATE PILOT WERE FLYING A CESSNA 172 DOING A POWER-OFF 180 (SIMULATED ENGING OUT). THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHED THE GROUND A FEW FEET PRIOR TO THE RUNWAY THEN THE AIRMAN ATTEMPTED A GO-AROUND DUE TO FAILED LANDING AND APPLIED FULL POWER AT THE TIME OF TOUCHDOWN. THE AIRCRAFT THEN WENT AIRBORN AND DID A POWER-ON STALL, TURNS LEFT AND WENT INTO THE GRASS FLIPPING OVER ON ITS BACK. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST IN THE GRASS JUST PRIOR TO THE PAPI LIGHTS ON RUNWAY 34 AT KDMW, WESTMINSTER MARYLAND.
