## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE INSTRUCTOR AND RATED PRIVATE PILOT WERE WORKING ON A FLIGHT REVIEW. THE LANDING WAS A LITTLE HARDER THAN NORMAL. AFTER TOUCHING DOWN THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR PHYSICALLY TURNED. WHILE INSPECTING THE AIRCRAFT IT WAS DETERMINED THAT PART OF THE RIGHT MAIN STRUT WHERE TRAILING LINKAGE CONNECTS TO, HAD BROKEN. THE PART SHOWED DISCOLORED MARKS AT THE BREAK. THIS INDICATES THAT THERE WAS METAL FATIGUE DEVELOPING AT THAT LOCATION.

## Other reports on N3562G (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Accident 19850917045549A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19850917045549A), Sep 17, 1985: Piper PA28181 (N3562G), Holyoke, CO, Substantial damage. Lost directional control on rollout in variable wind conditions. Struck a wind tee, continued into a field.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
