## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE INSTRUCTOR PILOT (IP) AND STUDENT PILOT (SP) WERE CONDUCTING A FLIGHT LESSON. THE FLIGHT LESSON INTRODUCED A SIMULATED INSTRUMENT APPROACH WITH A SIMULATED ONE ENGINE INOPERATIVE. THE IP WAS MONITORING THE PERFORMANCE OF THE SP AND PROVIDED INSTRUCTION TO CORRECT FOR A LARGE SCALE COURSE DEVIATION BEFORE CROSSING THE FINAL APPROACH FIX (FAF). THE IP MAINTAINED HIS ATTENTION ON THE CDI AND SP PERFORMANCE. A PRE LANDING CHECKLIST WAS NOT COMPLETED PRIOR TO LANDING. THE GEAR WAS NOT EXTENDED. THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN ON THE RUNWAY SURFACE WITH THE GEAR RETRACTED. THE AIRCRAFT SKIDDED DOWN THE RUNWAY FOR APPROXIMATELY 200 FEET.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
