## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE TAXING TO RUNUP AREA, THE A75/G PILOT INADVERTENTLY COLLIDED WITH PIPER PA-28-161, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, WHICH WAS PERFORMING A RUNUP ON THE TAXIWAY. THE LOWER RIGHT WING LEADING EDGE OF THE TAXING AIRCRAFT COLLIDED WITH THE RIGHT-WING LEADING EDGE OF THE PIPER PA-28-161 PERFORMING THE RUNUP. THE HEIGHT OF THE LOW WING NEARLY MATCHED THE HEIGHT OF THE PIPER WING PROVIDING STRAIGHT ON LEVEL IMPACT. APPROXIMATELY 60% OF THE LEADING EDGE OF BOTH AIRCRAFT WINGS THAT MADE CONTACT WERE DAMAGED. THE WOODEN SPAR OF RIGHT LOWER WING ON THE A75/G APPEARED TO HAVE SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE. THE PIPER WING LEADING-EDGE AND WING TIP WERE DAMAGED BUT THERE DID NOT APPEAR TO BE STRUCTURAL DAMAGE.

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN24LA196](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN24LA196), May 11, 2024: Piper PA28 (N3574C), New Century, KS, substantial damage. Probable cause: The inability of the Boeing 75 pilot to anticipate that the Piper would stop earlier on the taxiway which resulted in the on-ground collision.
