## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MAY 13TH 2024 AT FRONT RANGE AIRPORT A STUDENT PILOT WHO WAS OVERDUE FOR AN BIANNUAL FLIGHT REVIEW WENT OUT ON A FLIGHT WITH A CFI FOR REVIEW AND TRAINING ON THE MOONEY LANDING GEAR OPERATION. FLIGHT WENT AS PLANNED AND UPON APPROACH THE CFI STATED THAT HE PUT THE LANDING GEAR HANDLE DOWN BUT COULD NOT RECALL IF HE MADE SURE IT WAS DOWN AND LOCKED. UPON TOUCHDOWN THE LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED ON RUNWAY 26. WHEN THE AIRCRAFT WAS RELEASED TO BE MOVED THE MAINTENANCE TEAM PUT THE AIRCRAFT ON JACKS AND THE LANDING GEAR LOWERED IMMEDIATELY. MAINTENANCE COULD NOT FIND ANY ISSUES WITH THE LANDING GEAR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
