## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

STUDENT PILOT STATED THAT SHE WAS SOLOING, AND HAD GONE UP TO DO SOME PATTERN WORK. SHE WAS HAPPY WITH HER APPROACH AND WAS PROPERLY CONFIGURED. SHE LANDED ON THE MAINS FIRST AND WHENEVER THE NOSE CAME DOWN, SHE HEARD SOME LOUD NOISES AND WAS LOOKING DOWN AT THE RUNWAY. SHE IMMEDIATELY SHUT EVERYTHING DOWN, EXITED THE AIRCRAFT, AND CALLED HER INSTRUCTOR. SHE DID NOT RE-ENTER THE AIRCRAFT TO NOTIFY THE TOWER. NOSE WHEEL/TIRE ASSEMBLY FAILED UPON LANDING CAUSING A PROP STRIKE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
