## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT EXTENDED THE LANDING GEAR AND THE GREEN DOWN AND LOCKED LIGHT DID NOT ILLUMINATE. HE RECYCLED THE GEAR AND PERFORMED A PASS DOWN THE RUNWAY FOR A VISUAL INSPECTION BY THE TOWER. THE PILOT WAS INFORMED THE GEAR APPEARED DOWN. THE PILOT PERFORMED A SOFT FIELD LANDING AND THE NOSE LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED DURING THE LANDING ROLLOUT RESULTING IN DAMAGE TO THE PROPELLER AND COWLING. DURING THE INVESTIGATION, BINDING BETWEEN THE NOSE LANDING GEAR ACTUATOR ROD END AND DOWNLOCK PIN WAS NOTED WHICH PREVENTED FULL ACTUATOR TRAVEL.

Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
