## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT LANDED ON RUNWAY 22 AT AVP. DURING ROLLOUT, PIC LOST CONTROL AND VEERED OF RUNWAY NEAR TAXIWAY B5, STRIKING A RUNWAY EDGE LIGHT. AVP ATIS REPORTED WINDS AT TIME OF EVENT: 220 9 G22 KT.

PIC STATED ADJUSTABLE RUDDER PEDAL ASSEMBY (SOMEHOW) MOVED OUT OF SET (DESIRED) POSITION, AND TOO FAR FORWARD FOR HIM TO REACH, RESULTING IN LOSS OF DIRECTIONAL CONTROL DURING LANDING ROLLOUT.

AIRCRAFT PHYSICAL INSPECTION:

ALL AERODYNAMIC CONTROLS CONTINUOUS AND CORRECT. NOTED ADJUSTABLE RUDDER PEDALS NOT LATCHED AND SEEMED DIFFICULT TO SECURE IN SECOND OR THIRD ADJUSTMENT HOLE FROM REAR. SEVERAL SKIN DENTS IN LOWER SURFACE OF LEFT WING CONSISTENT WITH IMPACTING RUNWAY EDGE LIGHTING. NO DAMAGE TO PRIMARY CONTROL SURFACES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
