## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 5/30/2024 AT APPROXIMATELY 1843 A PIPER PA-32R-300 DIVERTED TO KMHK, MANHATTAN REGIONAL AIRPORT DUE TO SUSPECTED VACUUM PUMP FAILURE. DURING LANDING THE NOSE GEAR FAILED TO EXTENT AND LOCK. THIS RESULTED IN THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSING DURING LANDING. UPON COLLAPSE OF THE NOSE GEAR DAMAGE WAS LIMITED TO THE COWLING, COWL FLAPS AND ITEMS FORWARD OF THE FIRE WALL. DAMAGE IS ISOLATED TO FIRE WALL FOWARD AND IS DETERMINED AS AN INCIDENT. THERE WAS NO BODILY INJURY REPORTED AND NO DAMAGE TO AIRPORT PROPERTY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
