THE REGIONAL OPERATIONS CENTER WAS NOTIFIED ABOUT AN ACCIDENT INVOLVING A GLIDER THAT HAPPENED ON JUNE 8, 2024, AROUND 1230 LOCAL TIME AT MID AMERICA INDUSTRIAL PARK (H71). ## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN24LA219](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN24LA219), Jun 8, 2024: Schweizer SGS 1-23H-15 (N8667R), Chouteau, OK, minor damage. Probable cause: The student pilot’s failure to maintain control of the glider while landing. Contributing to the accident was the unclear communications between the student pilot and instructor.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
