## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS PERFORMING A TOUCH AND GO AND UPON RETRACTING THE FLAPS NOTICED AN ABNORMAL GROUND ROLL AND DETERMINED THAT HIS RIGHT MAIN GEAR WAS DRAGGING AND ULITMATELY SEPARATED FROM THE AIRCRAFT. PILOT ATTEMPTED TO KEEP THE AIRCRAFT ON THE RUNWAY DURING ROLLOUT, BUT THE AIRCRAFT FINALLY SETTLED WITH ALL BUT THE TAIL SECTION OFF THE RUNWAY.

## Other reports on N8052T (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Accident 19850406057119A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19850406057119A), Apr 6, 1985: Piper PA28181 (N8052T), Carney, OK, Substantial damage. Attempted to abort takeoff from mowed pasture and struck dirt bank. Pilot felt he would not clear powerlines.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
