## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 06/24/24 AT APPROXIMATELY 05:54PM LOCAL TIME, STUDENT PILOT FLYING A CESSNA 172N AIRCRAFT ON A SOLO FLIGHT CAME IN FOR A FINAL LANDING AFTER PRACTICING TOUCH AND GOES. SHORTLY AFTER TOUCHDOWN, DURING ROLLOUT, THE PILOT INDICATED THAT THE RIGHT WING HAD LIFTED CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO VEER TO THE LEFT IN A SLIDING TYPE OF MOTION. THE PILOT DID NOT WANT TO APPLY EXCESSIVE BRAKES AND THE AIRCRAFT SUBSEQUENTLY WENT OFF THE RUNWAY, STRUCK A RUNWAY LIGHT AND CAME TO A STOP. THE PILOT INDICATED THAT HE HEARD A SOUND AND BELIEVED IT WAS DUE TO THE IMPACT OF THE RUNWAY LIGHT BY THE LEFT GEAR. SUBSEQUENTLY, THE PILOT TAXIED BACK ON TO THE RUNWAY AND PROCEEDED TO THE RAMP TO PARK THE AIRCRAFT. AFTER PERFORMING AN EXTERIOR INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT, THE PILOT INDICATED THAT NO VISIBLE SIGNS OF DAMAGE FROM THE IMPACT WERE OBSERVED. AIRPORT OPERATIONS CONFIRMED THAT ONE BROKEN RUNWAY LIGHT WAS FOUND ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY NEAR WHERE THE AIRCRAFT LANDED. FAA INSPECTOR ON SCENE FOUND NO DAMAGE TO AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
