## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

INTERVIEW OF THE PILOT:

AT APPROXIMATELY 1130 EDT, 25 JUNE 2024, THE PIC LANDED AIRCRAFT, SWIFT GC-1B ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, ON RUNWAY 31 AT KFFC, FALCON FIELD GA. HE CONFIRMED POSITIVE GEAR DOWN INDICATIONS ON DOWNWIND AND ON SHORT FINAL APPROACH. SHORTLY AFTER TOUCHDOWN, THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN AN UNCONTROLLABLE "SWERVE" TO THE RIGHT. THE RIGHT WINGTIP IMPACTED THE RUNWAY SURFACE AS THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE RUNWAY AND FINALLY STOPPED IN A GRASSY AREA WITH THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR COLLASPED. THE PIC WAS UNINJURED. UPON FURTHER EXAMINATION OF THE AIRCRAFT, BOTH LANDING GEAR DOWN LOCK STRUCTS ON THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR ASSEMBLY HAD BROKEN. THE AIRCRAFT WAS SECURED AND REMOVED FROM THE RUNWAY AREA.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA24LA298](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA24LA298), Jun 25, 2024: Globe GC1B (N3301K), Peachtree City, GA, substantial damage. Probable cause: A right main landing gear collapse during landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
