## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT WAS DISPATCHED ALONG WITH 2 OTHER AIRCRAFT TO THE HART LANE FIRE AROUND THE POSSUM KINGDOM LAKE VICINITY. THE LAKE WAS VERY BUSY DUE TO THE JULY 4 HOLIDAY. PILOT WAS ON HIS THIRD SCOOP A WAKE BOARD BOAT WAS IN THE VICINITY OF AT-224 WHILE SCOOPING. THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK THE WAVE FROM THE NEARBY BOAT CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO GO AIRBORNE HIGH ENOUGH TO CAUSE THE AIRCRAFT TO TORQUE ROLL 45 DEGREES TO THE LEFT. THE PILOT TRIED TO CORRECT THE ROLL BY PULLING THE RIGHT RUDDER PEDAL AND PULLING BACK. THE LEFT WING STRUCK THE WATER SPINNING PLANE INTO A 90 DEGREE ANGLE. PILOT IMMEDIATELY DUMPED 400 GALLONS OF WATER AVOID SINKING. THEN DID A DAMAGE ASSESSMENT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)
