## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE AIRCRAFT WAS CONDUCTING AGRICULTURAL SPRAYING OPERATIONS IN THE VICINITY OF SEDGEWICK, AR. THE FIELD BEING SPRAYED HAD TWO SETS OF HIGH-TENSION ELECTRICAL WIRES CROSSING IT APPROXIMATELY 150 YARDS APART. ON THE RETURN FOR THE 4TH PASS IN THE FIELD, THE AIRCRAFT CROSSED OVER THE FIRST SET OF WIRES AND THEN BEGAN DESCENT FOR SPRAYING THE FIELD. THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK THE SECOND SET OF WIRES AND CRASHED INTO THE FLOODED RICE FIELD. THE PILOT SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN24LA257](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN24LA257), Jul 8, 2024: Grumman Acft ENG Cor-Schweizer G-164B (N6500K), Sedgwick, AR, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain clearance from a power line during the spray pass.
