## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT WAS BEING OPERATED FOR THE PURPOSE OF A FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR MULTI ENGINE FIXED WING ADD ON RATING PRACTICAL TEST AT RIVERSIDE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT (KRAL). AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT, THE FINAL REQUIRED LANDING TO BE DEMONSTRATED WAS BEING PERFORMED. BOTH THE PILOT AND DESIGNATED PILOT EXAMINER CONFIRMED A BEFORE LANDING CHECKLIST WAS USED PRIOR TO LANDING AND BELIEVED THE LANDING GEAR HANDLE ACTUALLY HAD BEEN PUT INTO THE GEAR DOWN POSITION. UPON LANDING, THE AIRCRAFT SETTLED ONTO THE RUNWAY ON ITS BELLY RECEIVING WHAT APPERED TO BE NON-STRUCTURAL DAMAGE AS CONFIRMED BY AIRWORTHINESS INSPECTOR. MAINLY DAMAGE WAS ASSOCIATED WITH THE BELLY SKINS AND ANTENNAS. AFTER ENGINE SHUTDOWN CHECKLIST WAS COMPLETED, IT WAS DISCOVERED BY THE PILOT THAT THE LANING GEAR HANDLE WAS IN THE UP POSITION AND THEREFOR NEVER EXTEDED. NO INJURIES TO THE PEOPLE ONBOARD.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
