## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 07/18/2024 AIRCRAFT WAS ATTEMTING TO LAND ON RWY 10 AT FL37 WHEN THE PILOT MISTOOK A ROAD PARALLEL TO RWY 10 FOR THE RUNWAY. AT THE LAST MOMENT THE PILOT RECOGNIZED HIS MISTAKE AND DURING THE GO-AROUND THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK A DISTRIBUTION POWERLINE CAUSING SUBSTATIAL DAMAGE TO THE LEFT-WING SPAR. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED AT KFPR WITHOUT INCIDENT AND NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA24LA320](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA24LA320), Jul 18, 2024: Cirrus Design SR20 (N89LF), Port St. Lucie, FL, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to correctly identify the airport runway, which resulted in a landing on a road and contact with a power line. Contributing to the outcome was the sun glare.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
