## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT STATED THAT DURING THE TAKE OFF JUST AFTER ROTATION THE ENGINE COWL DOOR CAME OPEN. THE PILOT WAS ABLE TO PUT THE AIRCRAFT BACK DOWN ON THE RUNWAY BUT THE COWL DOOR AND CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO VEER RIGHT. THE MAINS STRUCK RUNWAY LIGHTS AND CAUSED MINOR DAMAGE. THE PILOT BROUGHT THE PLANE TO A STOP AND WAS ABLE TO TAXI OFF THE RUNWAY. WITH NO FURTHER INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
