## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JULY 20, 2024, A HAWKER 900XP ATTEMPTED A TAKEOFF AT TELLURIDE COLORADO. DURING TAKEOFF THE AIRCRAFT WAS UNABLE TO PRODUCE ENOUGH AIRSPEED TO MEET THE 50/75 SAFETY STANDARD (75% VELOCITY AT 50% OF THE RUNWAY). AN ABORTED TAKEOFF WAS CALLED AND THE AIRBRAKES AND THRUST REVERSERS DEPLOYED WITH MAX BRAKING. A DELAY IN REVERSER AUTHORITY AND THE DOWNHILL SLOPE CAUSED INADEQUATE BRAKING AND THE AIRCRAFT LEFT THE RUNWAY AND DROVE INTO THE EMAS SYSTEM AT THE END OF THE RUNWAY STOPPING THE AIRCRAFT WITH IN 150 FEET OF THE RUNWAY. SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT BUT NO INJURIES TO THE CREW.
