## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE CONDUCTING AGRICULTURE OPERATIONS, THE LANDING GEAR STRUCK THE TOP, GROUNDING WIRE OF A SET OF HIGH-TENSION POWER LINES. THE CABLE TANGLED IN THE LEFT MAIN GEAR, RESULTING IN THE AIRPLANE CONTACTING THE GROUND APPROXIMATELY 500 FEET EAST OF THE POWER LINES. THE IMPACT AREA INDICATED A LOW ANGLE AND LOW VELOCITY. THE DEBRIS PATH WAS ON A HEADING OF 063 DEGREES THAT EXTENDED APPROXIMATELY 120 FEET. THE TENSION APPLIED TO THE ATTACHED CABLE PULLED THE FUSELAGE, EMPENNAGE, LEFT LANDING GEAR, AND LEFT WING 72 FEET IN A 243 DEGREE DIRECTION.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN24LA285](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN24LA285), Jul 24, 2024: Cessna A188B (N9576G), Sumner, NE, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain clearance from a power line during the spray pass.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
