## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

SHORTLY AFTER TAKEOFF THE ENGINE COUGHED/SPUTTERED THEN STARTED TO RUN NORMAL FOR A FEW SECONDS LATER THE ENGINE QUIT. PILOT KNEW THERE WERE BUILDINGS STRAIGHT AHEAD AND WAS AWARE OF THE FIELD TO THE LEFT AND WOULD TRY TO LAND THERE SO THE PILOT VEERED TO THE LEFT. THE RIGHT-WING TIP IMPACTED THE GROUND, THE RIGHT-WING TIP WAS FOUND SEPARATED FROM THE WING. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST APPROXIMATELY 100 FEET FROM THE INITIAL IMPACT SITE WITH THE RIGHT WING BROKEN OFF LAYING NEXT THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE FUSELAGE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)
