## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT STATED THAT UPON DEPARTURE FROM KOSH WITH 30-32 GALLONS OF FUEL AND AFTER A 5 MINUTE TAXI, HE PLANNED ON BURNING 10 GPH OF FUEL TO HIS NEXT FUEL STOP AT KCHT. WHILE FLYING AT AN ALTITUDE OF 4,500 MSL AND APPROXIMATELY 27 NM FROM KCHT, THE ENGINE STOPPED RUNNING. THE PILOT BEGAN LOOKING FOR A SUITABLE PLACE TO LAND AND FOUND A CORNFIELD THAT LOOKED FLAT ENOUGH TO LAND ON. UPON COMPLETING AN EMERGENCY LANDING THE CORN, THE AIRCRAFT ROLLED OUT APPROXIMATELY 30 YARDS INTO THE CORN FIELD BEFORE COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
