## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JULY 28, 2024 AT AROUND 9:30 AM LOCAL TIME, AIRCRAFT ATTEMPTED TO TAKE OFF FROM RUNWAY 22 AT AEG FOR A VFR FLIGHT TO TAOS NM. AFTER ROTATION, THE AIRPLANE FAILED TO CLIMB, AND A PRECAUTIONARY OFF RUNWAY LANDING WAS MADE APPROXIMATELY 1 MILE SOUTHWEST OF THE RUNWAY. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE OR PROPELLER STRIKE. THE NOSE WHEEL FAIRING WAS CRACKED AND NEEDED TO BE REMOVED PRIOR TO MOVING THE AIRCRAFT. AIRCRAFT WAS SUBSEQUENTLY MOVED BACK ONTO THE AIRPORT. A CERTIFICATED A&P MECHANIC FAMILIAR WITH THE AIRCRAFT PERFORMED AN ENGINE RUN AND WITH PROPER LEANING OF THE MIXTURE, ACHIEVED A SUCCESSFUL FIELD BAROMETRIC RUN WITH A GOOD MAG DROP TEST. AIRCRAFT WAS LATER FLOWN TO TAOS NM AND THEN ON TO VAN NUYS, CA.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
