## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 7/28/2024 AT IMMOKALEE AIRPORT A PIPER PA-28-161 WHILE TAXING (SOUTH) ON FBO RAMP AREA TO TAXIWAY C, FOR RUNWAY 18/36; AT THE SAME TIME A CESSNA 172N WAS TAXING ON FBO RAMP (EAST) TO TAXIWAY C FOR RUNWAY 18/36.BOTH AIRCAFT WERE TAXIING ON AN UNCONTROLLED FIELD. BOTH AIRCRAFT DID NOT REMEMBER HEARING RADIO CALL OF EITHER TAXING AIRCRAFT. THE PILOT FROM THE CESSNA INDICATED HE ANNOUNCED ON THE CTAF FREQUENCY DECLARING THE INTENTION TO TAXI VIA C AND WILL FOLLOW ANOTHER PREVIOUS KNOWN AIRCRAFT, THIS COULD NOT BE SUBSTANTIATED.

BOTH AIRCRAFT INTERSECTED EACH OTHER AT THE START OF THE TAXIWAY C AT THE SAME TIME. NEITHER AIRCRAFT PROPERLY CLEARED THE TAXI AREA BY VISUAL MEANS AS NO VISUAL BLOCKAGE WAS NOTED IN THE WAY.

## Other aircraft in the event

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA24LA336](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA24LA336), Jul 28, 2024: Piper PA-28-161 (N8580E), Immokalee, FL, substantial damage. Probable cause: The student pilot’s (of the high wing airplane) inadequate visual lookout, which resulted in a ground collision with another airplane while taxiing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
