## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT ENTERED THE WATER AT RAMP ON WEST SIDE OF LAKE HOOD. TAXIED TO APPROXIMATELY MIDDLE OF ISLAND, PILOT DECIDED TO MAKE TURNS AT THE END OF ISLAND TO ASSESS AIRCRAFT BECAUSE AIRCRAFT DID NOT "FEEL RIGHT". PILOT DECIDED TO TAXI BACK TO RAMP AFTER MAKING A FEW TURNS. FLOATS LEAKED AND TOOK ON WATER. AIRCRAFT SANK TO THE LEFT APPROXIMITELY MID-ISLAND OPPISITE NORTH SIDE OF TAXI WAY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
