## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DEPARTED SHEENJEK RIVER GRAVEL STRIP AT 18:30 LOCAL ON 15 AUGUST 2024. MONITORED WINDS PRIOR TO DEPARTURE, WHICH SHOWED CROSSWIND CONDITIONS OF 3-6 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 10 MPH. DURING THE TAKEOFF ROLL, AS THE TAIL BEGAN TO RISE, THE AIRCRAFT WAS HIT BY A STRONG GUST OF WIND FROM THE LEFT SIDE. THIS CAUSED THE LEFT WING TO LIFT AGGRESSIVELY, PUSHING THE AIRCRAFT TO THE RIGHT OFF THE RUNWAY SURFACE. THE AIRPLANE WAS APPROXIMATELY 5 FEET OFF THE GROUND AND CONTINUED TO MOVE TO THE RIGHT. THE RIGHT GEAR IMPACTED THE GROUND, FOLLOWED BY THE RIGHT WINGTIP, AND THE AIRCRAFT SPUN ANOTHER 40-50 DEGREES TO THE LEFT BEFORE COMING TO A STOP.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
