## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PIC EXPERIENCED A PARTIAL POWER LOSS WHILE FLYING OVER THE DRY RIVERBED NEAR FILLMORE, CA. HE DECIDED TO MAKE A PRECAUTIONARY LANDING BEFORE THE ENGINE TOTALLY LOST ALL POWER AND WHILE HE WAS FLYING OVER SOME OPEN AREAS WHERE HE COULD MAKE A SAFE LANDING IN HIS STOL AIRPLANE. THE LANDING WENT WELL BUT AS HE WAS SLOWING TO A STOP THE WHEELS ROLLED INTO SOME SOFT DIRT AND THE AIRPLANE TIPPED FORWARD ON ITS NOSE WHICH CAUSED DAMAGE TO ONE BLADE ONLY. THERE WAS NO OTHER DAMAGE TO THE AIRPLANE ONLY THE ONE PROPELLER BLADE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
