## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL STARTED ENGINE WITH THE INTENT TO TAXI FROM THE RAMP AREA ADJACENT TO THE MAINTENANCE HANGER AND MOVE THE AIRCRAFT TO IT'S PARKING SPACE ON THE FLIGHTLINE. WHEN THE ENGINE WAS STARTED THE RPM WAS HIGHER THAT ANTICIPATED. THE MAINTENANCE PERSON TRIED TO REDUCE THE RPM BY MOVING THE THROTTLE. HE ACCIDENTLY ADDED POWER INSTEAD OF REDUCING POWER. HE TRIED TO HOLD THE BRAKES WITHOUT SUCCESS AND THE AIRCRAFT ROLLED INTO THE MAINTENANCE HANGER TO HIS RIGHT AND HIT A FORKLIFT. PROPELLER WAS DESTROYED, DAMAGE TO RIGHT SIDE OF ENGINE COWL, DAMAGE TO WING STRUT, DAMAGE TO RIGHT WING. NO PERSONS WERE INJURED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
