## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE AIRMAN FLEW THE AUTOGYRO AROUND AND NEAR THE BAY

BRIDGE W29 AIRPORT AIRSPACE PRACTICING FOR HIS UPCOMING PRACTICAL EXAM. AIRMAN SUCCESSFULLY TOUCHED DOWN ON RUNWAY 11 AND AS HE WAS SLOWING DOWN, HE WANTED TO MAKE SURE IT SLOWED DOWN SUFFICIENTLY TO BE ABLE TO EXIT THE RUNWAY AT THE NEAREST TAXIWAY TO HIS RIGHT. THIS THOUGHT DISTRACTED HIM ENOUGH THAT HE DID NOT REALIZE THE ROTORS HAD TILTED SLIGHTLY TO THE RIGHT AND HE FAILED TO COUNTER-CORRECT IN A TIMELY MANNER BY MOVING THE CONTROL STICK TO THE LEFT TO MOVE ROTORS TO THE LEFT. THIS WAS A MISTAKE AND THE ROTOR MOMENTUM CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO TIP ON ITS SIDE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
