## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 08/30/2024 AN AMATEUR BUILT GLASAIR II DEPARTED BATESVILLE AIRPORT KBVX WITH A DESTINATION OF LOUISVILLE KY WITH TWO SOLES ON BOARD. WHILE EN ROUTE THE CHT AND OIL TEMPERATURE WERE CLIMBING ABOVE RED LINE AND THE PILOT ELECTED TO PERFORM AN EMERGENCY LANDING AT NEWPORT AR (M19). THE PILOT CONCLUDED THAT THE AIRCRAFT WOULD NOT MAKE THE NEWPORT AIRPORT AND ELECTED TO PERFORM AN EMERGENCY LANDING ON A ROAD THAT WAS ALSO USED FOR AGRICULTURE AIRCRAFT APPROXIMATELY 2 MI WEST OF ALICIA, AR. WHILE ON APPROACH AND CROSSING THE THRESHOLD THE AIRCRAFT CONTACTED POWERLINES WITH THE LANDING GEAR AND UPON TOUCHDOWN THE GEAR COLLAPSED AND THE AIRCRAFT WENT INTO THE ADJACENT GRASS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
