## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON THE LANDING ROLLOUT THE AIRCRAFT ROLLED THROUGH A DIP SLOPING TO THE RIGHT AND SIMULTANEOUSLY A GUST OF WIND FROM THE LEFT PUSHED THE AIRCRAFT TO THE RIGHT. THE RIGHT MAIN WHEEL BEGAN ROLLING THROUGH SOFT TUNDRA. THE RAPID DECELERATION FORCED THE PILOT FORWARD INTO THE RUDDER PEDALS AND INADVERTENTLY APPLIED BRAKES. THE AIRCRAFT NOSE ROTATED DOWNWARD AND AT IDLE THE PROPELLER CONTACTED THE GROUND AND THE AIRCRAFT FULLY NOSED DOWN AND FLIPPED OVER.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ANC24LA087](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ANC24LA087), Aug 31, 2024: Bellanca 8GCBC (N1217E), Lime Village, AK, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s excessive braking during the landing roll, resulting in a nose over.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
