## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE OPERATING A CESSNA 152 AIRCRAFT,

THE PILOT TAXIED TO THE RUN-UP AREA ADJACENT TO RUNWAY. UPON ARRIVAL, THE PILOT OBSERVED THAT THE RUN-UP

AREA WAS CROWDED WITH SEVERAL AIRCRAFT. TO POSITION THE AIRCRAFT AT THE DESIGNATED T-MARK, THE PILOT

INITIATED A 180-DEGREE TURN. HOWEVER, ANOTHER AIRCRAFT WAS POSITIONED CLOSE TO THE T-MARK,

REQUIRING CAREFUL MANEUVERING TO AVOID CONTACT.

WHILE ATTEMPTING TO ALIGN THE AIRCRAFT WITHOUT TOUCHING THE ADJACENT AIRCRAFT'S WINGTIP, THE

OPPOSITE WINGTIP OF THE INCIDENT PILOT'S AIRCRAFT MADE CONTACT WITH THE RUN-UP BLAST WALL. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED

DAMAGE TO THE RED LENS, AND RESULTING IN THE STROBE LIGHT BECOMING INOPERATIVE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
