## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 09/03/2024 AT 1802Z, A CESSNA 525 STRUCK A BIRD WHILE ON RIGHT BASE LEG AT 3000 FEET FOR RUNWAY 5R AT THE PIEDMONT TRIAD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO THE LEFT WINGLET DURING A PART 91 REPOSITION FLIGHT. THERE WERE NO PASSENGERS ON BOARD AND NO INJURIES. AN INSPECTION OF THE WING PROVED NO DAMAGE EXCEPT FOR THE LEFT NAV LIGHT FENCE. (A SCREW ON PART) THE FENCE WAS REPLACED. THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.THE SPECIES WAS NOT IDENTIFIED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
