## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 9/4/24 ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ ATTEMPTED A GO AROUND AFTER SEEING MULTIPLE DEER ON THE RUNWAY AND CRASHING INTO THE TREES ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF RUNWAY 26. THE PIC CLAIMED THAT THE ENGINE WAS NOT PRODUCING ADEQUATE POWER DURING THE GO AROUND AND ELECTED TO TURN BACK AND TRY TO LAND ON RUWWAY 26 BUT ULTIMATELY WAS UNABLE TO MAKE THE TURN BEFORE STALLING AND HITTING THE TREES.

AN SUBSEQUENT INVESTIGATION OF THE AIRCRAFT DID NOT REVEAL ANY MAINTENANCE ANOMALIES OR DISCREPANCIES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA24LA369](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA24LA369), Sep 4, 2024: Piper PA-28-181 (N512AF), Somerville, NJ, substantial damage. Probable cause: A total loss of engine power due to an undetermined fuel delivery issue.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
