## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE LANDING ON RUNWAY 18 AND TRANISITIONING INTO THE ROLLOUT PHASE, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ SUFFERED A NOSE LANDING GEAR, AND RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR FAILURE / COLLAPSE. THE AIRCRAFT SLID ON ITS NOSE AND RIGHT WING AND DEPARTED FROM THE RUNWAY CENTERLINE. THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED TO EXIT THE RUNWAY, COMING TO REST IN THE GRASS ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE RUNWAY.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA24LA377](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA24LA377), Sep 6, 2024: Mooney M20 (N651RK), Oxford, CT, substantial damage. Probable cause: The seizure of the right main landing gear extension rod bearing and subsequent buckling of the rod, resulting in a landing gear collapse.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
